J. Hašek: The Adventures of Švejk

A set of books from the library created by grandparents. Grandfather pasted an article from a newspaper about the history of books into one of the books.

In the novel "The Good Soldier Švejk's Adventures in the World War," the main character Švejk, pretending to be a fool, actually disrupts the logic of the military system with his "naivety" - he follows orders so literally that they become absurdly impossible to execute. Jaroslav Hašek, through comic and absurd situations, shows how pointless and chaotic war is, while making it clear that Švejk may be smarter than he appears.
