We got into "barefoot" and didn't spare any money because it was particularly difficult for our son to switch from sneakers to boots this season. I was afraid that he would still demand sneakers in winter, so I bought everything that seemed comfortable enough to persuade him to wear proper warm shoes. When the boots arrived in Latvia, everything fit, they were "soft enough," everything was great, but when it came time to wear them, they suddenly didn't fit on his foot anymore. The return month, of course, has passed :(.
