Description:
The front of the cross depicts the scene of the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. Below the crucified Savior is Adam's skull. According to the Holy Scriptures, Adam's remains were located at Golgotha – the place where Christ was crucified. By God's design, Christ's blood washed Adam's remains, thus symbolically cleansing humanity from sin and offering the opportunity for salvation. On the reverse side of the cross is a short prayer dedicated to the Lord, traditionally engraved on crosses: "Save and Protect" (Спаси и Сохрани).
