The excellent REIMA Softshell Midseason set that we purchased for our daughter in this exact configuration, and we did not regret it because: - The Softshell outer suit is waterproof and windproof, yet breathable; - The outer suit has no additional lining, allowing it to be used on warmer days; - The inner thermal suit is soft and very pleasant; - The inner suit acts as an adjustable layer, when the weather is cooler, we wear it underneath, when warmer, we don't use it; - The thermal suit was also worn by our
daughter as an outer layer on warmer but very deceptive days.
*The leg elastics on the Softshell suit are easily removable.
**Reima suits are size 92, but as is typical for this brand - they have some extra room, so they will fit up to size 98.
